This week, we’re fighting for your voice in the world by urging senators to keep us in the UN climate treaty, for your power bill by asking governors to stop forced coal plant costs, and for your wild places by telling the Interior Department to protect Teshekpuk Lake.

YOUR ACTION OF THE DAY

Action card that says: "Urge your senators to oppose leaving the UN climate treaty." Click on it to access the Action of the Day.

WHY DO THIS?
The U.S. is set to leave the world's climate treaty in February

The administration has formally notified the UN that the U.S. will leave the UN climate treaty on Feb. 27, 2027, making it the first country to withdraw. The Senate approved the treaty without opposition in 1992, and legal scholars disagree on whether a president can exit without senators’ consent. Business groups warn the move could weaken U.S. influence in global carbon markets. Senators can still speak up before the deadline.
DO YOU VALUE OUR WORK?

If so, please help us continue it!

  • Become a Planet-Saving Subscriber for as little as $9.95/month. Every month or year, on your behalf, we'll plant a certain number of trees, reduce a certain amount of CO2 from the atmosphere, and preserve forever an area of vital habitat.

  • Reducing air travel is important, but if you need to fly, consider reversing your share of your flight's emissions with our Trees for Travel program.

Thanks so much for your help and support!
